| Yummy homemade banana cake |
I am not a cake person, but I really love this cake and my hubby too! I reduced half of the sugar and it is still sweet enough for us. Thank you Bheng for the recipe. :)
Banana Cake Recipe:
Ingredient for 12-16 square
§ 125g (4oz) unsalted butter
(softened)
§ 125g (4oz) soft light brown
sugar (you can use any sugar)
§ 2 eggs (beaten)
§ 200g (7oz) self-raising
flour
§ 1 tsp of baking powder
§ 1 pinch of salt
§ 2 tbsp of buttermilk and/or natural
yogurt
§ 500g (1lb) ripe bananas
(peeled and mashed)

Use mixer Cream the butter and sugar together in large
bowl until light and fluffy.
2.
Gradually beat the eggs into the creamed mixture.
3.
Sieve the flour, salt and baking powder into the
creamed mixture and gently fold them in.
4.
Stir in the banana and buttermilk (yogurt).
5.
Spoon the cake mixture into the prepared tin and smooth the top with a
palette knife.
6.
Bake the cake at 150C with fan (or 170 regular) in the oven for 35 minutes, or until firm.
7.
Allow the cake to cool in the tine for 5-10mins before gently turning
it out on to the cooling rack.
