Good News

"MediaCorp to discontinue TV Mobile from next year."

Yeah! That's good news for me. I hate tv mobile. It is too noisy and I can't rest when travelling on the bus. Good that they are going to discontinue it from 2010!

Dear All,

On behalf of the Envelopes of Love Committee, I would like to express my greatest gratitude to everyone who has made this project a meaningful and successful one.

The Sichuan young victims have already received the cards and they are very happy to receive encouragements from other countries.

We have been updating our website (
http://envelopesoflove.blogspot.com ), feel free to visit the website to learn more how you can help these Sichuan survivors.

We will be sending the second batch of cards over to Sichuan next year January and we are looking for more organizations and schools that can help contribute these cards. In addition, we are hoping for more advertising via the media to create more awareness, if you do have any friends who could help, kindly drop me a mail :)

We truly appreciate everyone's help :)

We can definitely do our part to help these needy young victims! Take care!

Best Regards,
Chong Xing Le

Christ Church College's Dining Hall

If you are the fans of Harry Potter, you may be familiar with the above dining hall. Yes, this is Hogwarts dining hall in the film.

Last weekend, WG went to Oxford for a conference. They were brought to Christ Church College's Dining Hall for lunch. The building has a hammerbeam roof and was built in the 1500s but was updated with century battlements and pinnacles in the 19th century. It is still used for meals by students at this famous University college. Christ Church is open to the public most days in the year.

Besides Christ Church College's Dining Hall, Duke Humfrey's Library and Divinity School are also some of the Oxford locations used in the film.
